Use Feed for brine, Play for three arcade games, and Clean to tidy up. The 1, 2, 3 keys work, too. Tap your pickle or press P for +8 happiness every 2 seconds, with no energy cost. Feeding and cleaning also bring a little joy. Use Nap or S to sleep or wake; naps restore energy.

Heart hunt: follow the heart through three rounds of shuffling jars. Dill says: repeat a growing sequence of notes and shapes. Brine catch: move your basket with 1/2/3, arrow keys, or a tap; catch hearts and dodge salt (×). Each game costs 6 energy and awards 10–34 happiness on completion, including a reward for trying. Use Play again for another round, or Esc to leave. Leaving the page or opening a save pauses the arcade without losing your entry energy. Best scores stay in this browser.

Start by putting a cucumber into Classic, Garlic, or Spicy brine. After one real minute, one of six varieties hatches and you give it a name. Baby pickles become young at 1 day, teens at 3 days, adults at 7 days, and elders at 14 days. Teens try on a new stereotype every day. A content pickle hops, chills in sunglasses, lounges in the sun, reads, or sits by a campfire. Elders discover a new look every 3 days, with 32 funny forms that cycle forever.

One daily check-in is plenty. Needs change by real elapsed time, with the app open or closed. Food loses 36 points a day, happiness 24, and hygiene 30. Energy recovers by 2 points an hour, or 30 during a nap, and a full pickle wakes automatically. Feed adds 40 food. A very low need can cause sickness; restore every meter to at least 30 to recover. An empty food, happiness, or hygiene meter must stay empty for 48 hours before your pickle passes away. Pickles never die of old age.

little dill can be installed as an app. Use Install little dill where your browser offers it, or on iPhone and iPad tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. The installed app opens offline.

Your pickle grows and rests while you’re away. Notifications are optional: at most one a day, no scheduled sends from 10pm to 9am, and no repeated nudges until you return. They need an internet connection; care and games work offline. Care and games have their own 8-bit sound effects. Brine Time starts with your first tap or keypress. Music and effects have separate switches and a shared volume slider; your choices are remembered. Sound pauses when the page is hidden and the music mellows out during naps.

Welcome back, little dill.
